SEMrush recently released a study titled, “The Anatomy of Top Performing Articles: Successful vs. Invisible Content” and it has some interesting findings.
So what does make an article stand out? For context, SEMrush analyzed the data of over 700,000 articles.
So today’s insight- Longreads of 3000+ words get 3x more traffic, 4x more shares, and 3.5x more backlinks than articles of average length (901-1200 words).
So the next time you’re wondering if it’s worth making the post longer- if it will make it better, do it.
